2nd Shift Supervisor
The Shift Supervisor is responsible for the quality and productivity of the employees on his shift. Supervises, motivates, and supports the team daily, applying a team approach and maintaining open communication. Maximizes productivity and emphasizes quality control, while maximizing the company’s profits and minimizing costs. Establishes and maintains effective communication with employees and other departments.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Meet deadlines and achieve production goals set by Scheduler.
Coordinates with the Scheduler to prioritize jobs and, when necessary, reorganize to meet deadline changes and updates.
Set up and troubleshoot machinery.
Ensure that all personnel policies and department procedures are followed. Issue employee warnings and deliver performance reviews.
Train and coach employees to improve their effectiveness.
Minimum 3 years supervisory experience of 3 or more employees.
Willing to work overtime, weekends, and holidays when needed
Must have a valid Driver's License
Must pass Drug and Background screening
Must have a valid Driver’s License
Must have a good prior work history
Equipment Operated/ skills
The right candidate must be willing to work 2nd
Will be ambitious
Able to operate machinery
Able to think quickly on their feet
Possess a “make it happen” “can do” attitude
Possess a mechanical aptitude
Have good communication skills
Be a team builder
Possess servant leadership skills
Must be able to be able to stand on feet for at least 8 hours/day
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Train on 1st shift
High school diploma or GED with experience or vocational/technical certification.
